Assignment:  Additive/Subtractive Drawing Techniques

Medium:  Graphite, Willow/Vine/Compressed Charcoals, Erasers, Drawing Paper

Description:  On an 18″ x 24″ sheet of drawing paper, create two drawings (side by side) of the same object/image using charcoal and erasers. One drawing will use additive drawing techniques (hatching, rendering, etc.) and the other will use the subtractive drawing techniques (erasure, blending). (2-4 hrs)

Aim: To perceive light logic via positive and negative relationships in space and to apply various additive and subtractive drawing techniques to accurately represent/capture these relationships.
