Assignment:  Close Studies

Medium:  Ink, Paper, Paint, Glue, Found Objects, Bristol Board

Description: Using paint, collage, or ink create a portrait in either the style of Vik Muniz or Chuck Close. Break down the face into shapes using value and texture/pattern, and use principles we have discussed so far: unity/variety, rhythm, and illusion of space, scale, and proportion to order and design. (6-8 hrs)

Aim: Explore various media to experiment with design elements: texture/pattern and value, and design principle: Illusion of Space, scale/proportion
