Assignment:  Portraiture

Medium:  Graphite, Willow/Vine/Compressed Charcoals, Erasers, Drawing Paper

Description:   On an 18″ x 24″ piece of drawing paper using pencil and/or charcoal draw
a portrait of  the model. Focus on full use of value scale and additive/subtractive techniques to capture volume, light logic, and surface qualities of your subject. (1 hr)

Aim: Develop your ability to perceive and engage the negative space around your
subject as a means of accurately observing positive space in composition.
